World's Largest Swimming Pool



San Alfonso Del Mar , World's largest and deepest swimming pool. It is located in Algarrobo, Chile. This pool is 1000 meters long(3/5 mile) and 
  upto 40 meters (130 feet ) deep and it covers an area of 7.7 hectares ( 19 acres ) that holds 250 million
liters ( 66 million gallons ) of sea water.




The resort is owned by a chilean bio-chemist and businessman FERNANDO FISCHMANN , the head of crystal lagoon 
corporation- the company that designed the gigantic pool.




He used the patent technology to " harvest, filter and permanently recirculate ocean water". Till pacific ocean exists they no need to worry about the water for pool. 





This pool is equal to 6000 standard size 8 meter long swimming pools. The water temperature is 26 degrees centigrade in summer and it is 9 degrees warmer than the ocean next to it.




Pool is completely transparent, we can see upto a depth of 35 meters clearly.




While early estimates put the total cost of construction at about US $ 3.5 billion and it costs almost $ 4 million for annual maintenance.
