LG Sydney IMAX
The IMAX Theater in Sydney holds the record of World's biggest IMAX and World's Largest Cinema screen.
It is owned by LG.
The screen is made of stretched vinyl, coated with a reflective silver paint and screen has 1000s of small perforations they allow sound from the speakers positioned behind the screen which play a crucial role in total surround sound system.
The film sound tracks are delivered through a mighty 15k watt digital surround sound system manufactured by Sonics Associates Inc.
The powerful 3D projector uses two 15k watt bulbs ( avg 35mm projector uses a bulb between 2000 and 4000 watts).
