Venice

Venice is one of the ve(ry)nice cities in the world. It is often called as Queen of Adriatic, City of Water, City of Masks, City of Bridges, Floating City, City of Canals.

Venice is built across 117 group of islands formed by 177 canals in a shallow lagoon connected by 409 bridges.



It is the most beautiful city built by man. 600 years ago, venetians protected themselves from land based attacks by diverting the water from major rivers into the city. The city has an average of 60,000 tourists a day.


Venice is the mostly chosen location for movies. Carnival of venice was revived and the city has become a major center of international conferences and film festivals.



Masks have always been a central feature of the venetial carnival.


Venice is the Europe's largest urban car-free area.
